Updated

Self-driving cars still meet situations they cannot resolve alone: a closed road, an unusual police signal, a blocked pickup point. As an Autonomous Vehicle Remote Operator you support test fleets and robotaxis from a remote station, with the vehicle’s cameras, lidar and signals in front of you.

What you will do

Answer help requests from vehicles: review the scene and give guidance such as a path around an obstruction or confirmation to proceed. In remote-assistance programs the vehicle remains the decision-maker.
Supervise test drives on set routes and take over remotely where the program and local rules allow it.
Log every disengagement and intervention with its reason, so engineers can reproduce it in simulation.
Tag scenarios such as unprotected lefts, lane changes and construction zones in drive data.
Contact riders or field teams when a vehicle has stopped and needs a person.

What we look for

A clean driving record and a valid driver’s license; professional driving or dispatch experience is a plus.
Calm, procedural handling of stressful situations and clear communication with riders.
Focus over long monitoring shifts, with an eye for small anomalies on camera.
Experience in fleet operations, simulation, or AV testing helps but is not required.

Your setup

Connection

A stable wired or strong Wi-Fi broadband connection. Video from the robot and your controls travel over it, so steadiness matters more than peak speed.

Computer

A recent laptop or desktop with a large screen. Programs that need a VR headset, controllers or a leader arm tell you the hardware during onboarding.

Space

A quiet, private place to work. Sessions can show the inside of a client site or a home, so nobody else should see your screen.

What you get

Fully remote

Work from home, anywhere in the eligible countries below. No commute, no office.

Flexible shifts

Full-time or part-time. You choose shifts that fit your schedule; overnight and weekend shifts are available for 24/7 programs.

Paid training

You are paid while you get certified on our platform and on each robot you operate. No prior robotics experience is required for most roles.

Real robots

You work on the robots companies are deploying right now, and every session you run helps train the next generation of autonomy.

How to apply

The application takes about two minutes: your background, where you are based, how to reach you and your CV. We review every application personally and reach out if there is a match.

Frequently asked questions

Do remote operators drive the car?
Usually not. In remote-assistance programs the operator reviews the scene and gives high-level guidance while the vehicle decides how to proceed. Some test programs allow remote driving under strict conditions.
What is a disengagement?
Any moment the autonomy hands control to a person or a person takes over. Each one is logged with a reason so engineers can fix the cause.
Do I need a driver’s license?
Yes, a valid driver’s license and a clean record are required for vehicle programs.
Is this a work-from-home job?
Yes. You work from a remote station at home with the vehicle data streamed to you; the vehicles operate in the client’s cities.
