RoboPilots puts a trained person behind every robot that needs one. As a Remote Robot Operator you connect to robots at client sites, run the tasks their autonomy cannot do yet, and step in whenever a robot asks for help.
What you will do
Teleoperate robots through a browser console, gamepad, VR headset or leader arm, depending on the robot.
Run client tasks such as picking and placing, loading, tidying, inspection rounds and short deliveries.
Take over when a robot flags that it is stuck or unsure, finish the task safely and hand control back.
Watch several camera feeds and the robot’s telemetry, and stop the robot whenever something looks unsafe.
Label each session with the task and its outcome, and note what went wrong so the robot’s team can fix it.
What we look for
Good hand-eye coordination and calm under pressure. Gamers, simulator users and drone pilots often do well.
Careful, consistent work: the data you produce trains robots, so following the protocol every time matters.
Clear written English for session notes and reports. Other languages are a plus for local client programs.
No degree required. Experience in remote operations, robotics, warehouses, trades or the military helps but is not needed.
Your setup
Connection
A stable wired or strong Wi-Fi broadband connection. Video from the robot and your controls travel over it, so steadiness matters more than peak speed.
Computer
A recent laptop or desktop with a large screen. Programs that need a VR headset, controllers or a leader arm tell you the hardware during onboarding.
Space
A quiet, private place to work. Sessions can show the inside of a client site or a home, so nobody else should see your screen.
What you get
Fully remote
Work from home, anywhere in the eligible countries below. No commute, no office.
Flexible shifts
Full-time or part-time. You choose shifts that fit your schedule; overnight and weekend shifts are available for 24/7 programs.
Paid training
You are paid while you get certified on our platform and on each robot you operate. No prior robotics experience is required for most roles.
Real robots
You work on the robots companies are deploying right now, and every session you run helps train the next generation of autonomy.
How to apply
The application takes about two minutes: your background, where you are based, how to reach you and your CV. We review every application personally and reach out if there is a match.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need robotics experience?
- No. Training is paid and covers the console, safety rules and each robot you will operate. Experience with games, simulators, drones or remote equipment helps.
- Is the job really fully remote?
- Yes. You operate robots over the internet from home. You need a stable connection, a computer and a private space to work.
- Can I work part-time?
- Yes. Both full-time and part-time shifts are available, including evenings, nights and weekends for programs that run around the clock.
- What robots will I operate?
- It depends on client programs: humanoids, robot arms, wheeled and delivery robots, quadrupeds and drones. You are certified on each robot before you operate it.
